Fox's Steve Hayes Wins Butthead Pundit Comment Of The Day Award.

Fox yakker Steve Hayes once again won the Butthead Pundit Comment of the Day award, solidifying his position as the most ridiculous commentator of Fox News.

Today on Special Report, Hayes tried to parrot the standard GOP talking point that Obama spent $500 million trying to train anti-ISIS Syrians, and only succeeded in training five people. Nice talking point, except that it isn't true. Up to $500 million was allocated for that program, but they've only actually spent a fraction of it. For some bizarre reason, host Brett Baier decided to correct him. The conversation went like this...

Hayes: "President Obama said 'yes we spent $500 million training Syrian moderates, but we only trained..."

Baier: "Now let's be clear, they only spent about $50 million, but $500 million was alloted for the program."

Hayes: "Yes, they BUDGETED $500 million. They weren't COMPETENT enough, I would argue, to spend the entire amount..."

That was the worst 'save' I've seen since Chris Christie claimed most NJ residents didn't want him to run for President because they don't want to lose him as Governor of NJ. It was painful to watch. I was actually embarrassed for the idiot. My reaction looked a little like this...
