How many House seats will we pick up in 2016?

I think most analysts and political junkies believe we (the Dems) will gain some seats in the U.S. House in 2016. Does anyone have any guesses as to how many seats we realistically could gain? 5 seats? 10 seats? More?

I don't think anyone believes we will pick up 30 seats in order to reclaim the majority. However, if the Repubs nominate Trump, Carson or Fiorina and if the economy doesn't tank, I think we could pick up over 20, especially with a likely Presidential vote blowout in that scenario. What does DU think on this topic?

Bernie actually gets the nomination and stresses during the general that he needs his legion of first time or sporadic voters that he also needs them to send him a Democratic Congress if he's to get anything done.

If Hillary gets the nomination, I expect Repubs to have all three branches after the general.

3. It sounds like redistricting in Florida may give the Dems two or three seats

We are waiting the court ruling on the Texas redistricting case but we could pick up two or three more seats if the court rules as anticipated

Any Democratic president will be hamstrung with Republicans in control of either chamber, not to mention both.
