in the nation now as far as doing something finally about too, too many mass shooting.

If they speak up now about needing more guns they'll just aggravate the situation even more.

To the OP, yes they are laying low AND I haven't seen any polling being done on this. They are all letting this one cool. No worry the Washington Post is carrying their water with two asinine articles this week.

I got hit with a sustained volley of NRA video ads yesterday on Youtube. So much so that I'm hesitant to even open that website today.

So will give you a break.

But how would I prove an anonymous poster on a message board is a NRA member? Is there some national database or something?

Weird you assumed this was about you. Hmmmmm.

As always, whenever the president and Democratic leadership discuss gun control, the NRA enlists numerous new members and receives a fundraising windfall, all while barely lifting a proverbial finger.

Sadly, given the shrill tone of our party concerning guns and gun owners, this money and political organization will largely be deployed against vulnerable Democrats in federal and state elections in 2016 (even though there'll probably be no major or serious legislative efforts for new firearm restriction in Congress).
