17. I don't hate anybody

First it's not good for people to hate both mentally and physically. It brings heart rate up and does other negative things to the body and brain. Best way to deal with people you don't perfer is not let them get to you and have a low key attitude about it.

And don't tell me who I should respond to. You worry about yourself. I can respond to whoever I feel like.

I read your reply and replied back. Why are you upset? If you don't agree with that I replied then say so.

3. Depends, why do you hate republicans?

If you cannot think of one rational reason, then yeah you might be a bigot. I can think of a 1000 reasons I hate the GOPs collective guts...how about you?

7. Then you are not a bigot.

Bigotry is irrational hatred for someone or some group. IMO.

14. Too bad you can't express even a single reason, then

Facts are wonderful additions to any conversation. I found the lack of facts particularly annoying during the Republican debate.

32. republican faults:

They have low regard for women
They have low regard for people they deem below them
They do anything to win
They feel business is more important than people

5. Sorta, yeah. There are different kinds of Republicans, and

different kinds and degrees of conservatism. Lots are very nice people -- as long as they stay away from public policy.

That said, if responsible conservatives haven't all fled the GOP, why haven't those left broken their alliance with the destructive and hateful sorts in over 30 years now?

I'm way done making excuses for them.

6. Yes

although oddly enough my desk dictionary restricts bigotry to religions "obstinate and intolerant believer in a religion, etc."

okay, I guess etc. was included, but mentioning only religion instead of a more generic word like "ideology" makes the definition itself seem bigoted towards religions.

Hatred would seem to be an expression of intolerance, and hence, bigotry.

8. SO if someone beats you up and you now hate them, you are intolerant.

Wrong. Bigotry is irrational.

11. bigotry is usually about

intolerance of more than ONE person.

If somebody beats you up and you then hate their race or their political party or their tribe, etc.

The question was not "If I say I hate Rush Limbaugh" or "If I say I hate Sam Brownback"

No, this is apparently hatred of all 62,000,000 Republicans.

That's a whole lot of hate.

Since I would like to see as many as possible of those 62 million switch their votes in the next election, I try to tell them things like "I hate THIS Republican POLITICIAN, and you should too."

12. True and I do that too, when in fact I really only do hate their leaders.

I DID hate all republicans at one time during the 2 Dubya terms of torture. Now I just pity them, still hate their leaders with a passion.

If you cannot think up one valid reason when you hate on someone or a group...you are a bigot. Always been that way. Those kind of emotional responses are always irrational.

15. is there ever ANY valid reason to hate 62,000,000 people?

Although my mind just got blown.

George W. Bush in 2004 got MORE votes than Mitt Romney in 2012.

Back in November 2004, I was sure that Bush was gonna get thumped like Hoover. Heck, I thought he might even lose in Kansas. I mean we could not keep yard signs in stock. I was seeing Kerry bumper stickers all over the place. I was sure the American people would reject that evil idiot en-masse.

Instead that is, so far, the high water mark for Republican votes. Unbelievable.

Maybe that's why it's the high water mark though, because 4 million of those people are very, very sorry for that vote. Sorry enough to vote for the other side.

16. None that I know of.

I think the 2016 election will demonstrate all the animosity and bigotry built up over decades by the GOP, toward their candidates. I live in Texas and still have yet to meet anyone that likes Ted Cruz. Yet they voted that bozo into office. Maybe it is shame.

I felt the same way in 2004, was already getting excited over 4 years of John Kerry when the rug was pulled out from under us.

13. Yes. Hating a class of people is bigotry.

Let's say you got mugged by a couple of Martian thugs and then started saying "I hate all Martians." You are categorically a bigot.

Anyway, hating is a form of self abuse. Think about all those Tea Party Republicans running around spewing their racist, nativist, sexist, and homophobic bullshit. You think they really love themselves? No, hatred starts with fear & self loathing, then numbs the soul, then strangles hope & compassion, and then exits the body in the form of hatred for others.

I love Republicans. That's why I want to stop their destruction of the country I love and the world I adore.

Hate though is a rather strong word. I extremely dislike most republicans. I loath many others. And in a way I guess I think a bit like the Donald thinks... that there are a few of them, rethugs that is, that I suppose are not rapist and criminals. Handful tops.

26. You shouldn't hate. It is a poison you feed yourself.

Hate is a tree who's roots are ignorance. Because we see ourselves as small, limited and needy, we pursue things we think will make us happy and hate things that cause us discomfort.

It's a more difficult road not to hate, but when you take it, you feed your soul. Hate is just empty calories. I'd rather have a beer and tacos than 25 packets of sugar.
