Susan Sarandon called upon Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin (apropos name - ain't it) to stay - or, at bare minimum, delay - the September 16, 2015 scheduled execution of Richard Glossip. Sarandon, who won an Oscar for playing the part of Anti death-penalty activist Sister Helen Prejean in the film "Dead Man Walking", openly proclaims that the innocence of Mr. Glossip is patently obvious. For the callousness of her willful blindness, Sarandon states that Governor Mary Fallin is a horrible person.
Governor Mary Fallin refuses a 60 day stay of execution!

No Physical Evidence Linking Richard Glossip to Murder
This case is about a hotel owner and Richard Glossip as the manager. The prosecution's "theory" is that Richard Glossip ordered the murder, to cover up his stealing proceeds of room sales and other wrong doings.
Justin Sneed confessed to the murder and is serving a Life sentence at minimum security prison!
So how is it that the man (drug addict Justin Sneed) who admitted killing Van Treese with a baseball bat, is doing easy time and a person who there's no evidence against (other than Justin Sneed's many "different" testimonies) is sentenced to die for a crime he probably didn't commit? It is because Oklahoma is Senator Inhofe's state, where 75% vote Republican and adore Donald Trump.
They don't allow abortions; because they would be deprived of abusing and killing you later!

Texas Governor Rick Perry Murdered Cameron Todd Willingham

Previously, I lived in Plano, TX and outside of Tulsa, OK. At those times, moi wasn't a progressive. It was the blood lust of purported fellow Christians and a stern talking to be DailyKos's Meteor Blades - that made me realize moi was a sheeple.
Cameron Todd Willingham was framed for the death of his children, by a phony forensic "expert" who was debunked well before Governor Perry refused to stay the execution of Willingham. As a result of the wrongful execution, a investigation began and was Shut-Down on the eve of its being made public - by Governor Perry.
IMO - Governor Perry was under investigation for his "Abuse of Power" about the corruption in dismantling the Cameron Todd Willingham Report, when Governor Perry threatened to pull funding from the prosecutors office.
Currently, Governor Perry is facing prosecution for his "Abuse of Power" in threatening a prosecutor.
For more on the Cameron Todd Willingham saga, see moi's DU threads (here) (here) and my more recent 2015 item (here)
Enigmatically, Governor's appear to delight in being the ultimate authority over Murder-by-States; and damn anyone who wants to get in the way of their blood lusts.
At the barest of minimums, the Governor of Oklahoma should err on the side of caution and grant the 60 day STAY!. How can a person call themselves "Christian" and rush toward the demise of another human being - ESPECIALLY - when there are QUESTIONS of guilt LARGE!

State Workers and Citizens Guilty of Duplicity in Murder-by-State

All citizens can bury their head in the sand and the workers of the "system" can claim it wasn't their pulling the election chair switch/ or injecting death serums; but they are either directly or indirectly part of the Death-Penalty infliction.
It is best summed up in the New York Supreme Court case and the personal remarks of Chief Justice Brietel, in "People v Davis" who stated the follow apropos prose;
Yours truly despises the death penalty. It only serves vulgar vengeance blood lust and makes those desiring it just as evil as those who claim the right to seek the death penalty, so that they can feel justice is done. Such is clearly visible as the communicating party for Oklahoma Governor Fallin, is a party named Alex Weintz.
This one Twitter communique sums up the problems of it all, as the Oklahoma Governor has to approve of what is said by her spokesperson. It is as if they admit that Richard Glossip is likely innocent; but who is going to feed the vengeance blood lust of the victims.
As verbatim by Alex Weintz's tweet;
final thought: there are multiple victims here, none of them Glossip.

In none of the banter, back and forth between Weintz, the public and addressing Susan Sarandon's Tweets and Sister Helen Prejean, does Governor Fallin and/or Alex Weintz address the issue that the man who did confess to the murder (Justin Sneed) saved himself from the death penalty by pointing a finger at Glossip.
Wrongs, followed by more wrongs, guilty of inflicting Murder-by-State via the hands of many willfully blind.
Sister Helen Prejean at her Twitter account ( @helenprejean ) has the following remark in response to Alex Weintz;
Over 150 people have been exonerated from death row. All were convicted by juries. Yet all were completely innocent. https://twitter.com/alexweintz/status/629358492940414977

As stated in the video, by Susan Sarandon, governments NEVER admit their wrongs....

(6,409 posts)Poll after poll finds a large majority of Americans support capital punishment, even as they express doubts about racism, judicial mistakes prosecutorial misconduct, etc. A good chunk of support comes from people so committed to the death penalty they don't even care of the state executes the wrong person. When asked about killing the wrong defendant, some people respond that it doesn't matter, that the important thing is to hold somebody accountable for murder. The percentages vary, but I have seen polls where 15 to 20 percent of the respondents feel this way. This suggests to me that we're way more bloodthirsty and vengeful than we care to admit.

Oklahoma plans to execute an innocent man this Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.1
Governor Mary Fallin has the power to stop this deadly mistake by issuing a 60-day stay of executionbut we need to act fast to save Richard Glossip.
Can you call Gov. Fallin right now? Tell her: "Don't execute an innocent man. Grant Richard Glossip a 60-day stay of execution."
Here's the number:
405-521-2342 (It may take 30 seconds or more to hear anything after calling. When you hear the automated menu, press 2 to talk to the governor's receptionist, which is better than leaving a message on the governor's comment line, given the urgency. Call volume if high. So if you are unable to leave comment the first time, try again.)
Then, please report your call by clicking here:

There's no DNA evidence, no fingerprints, and no motive linking Richard to the crime. His execution is based solely on the testimony and credibility of one man: Justin Sneed, who confessed to the gruesome murder but said Richard hired him to do it. By saying Richard masterminded the murder, Sneed avoided the death penalty and now is serving a life sentence in a medium-security prison.2
Because Richard didn't have the money to hire good lawyers, he ended up on death row. This is someone whose record was so clean that he had never even had a speeding ticket.3
But now, one of the best death penalty lawyers in the nation has taken up Richard's case pro-bono, and this morningtwo days before the scheduled executionhe released new evidence showing that "Sneed lied to save his own life."4
After learning about some of the new evidence, a juror from Glossip's trial stated, "If the defense would have presented the case that they are presenting now in the original trial...I would not have given a guilty verdict."5
Unbelievably, Gov. Fallin says she's going forward with the execution.6 It's up to each of us to express our utter outrage, disgust, and heartbreak that our government would execute an innocent manand to compel the governor to act. All we are asking for is 60 days to give Richard an opportunity to be represented in a way that will save his life.
Please call Gov. Fallin right nowwe have no time to spare. Her number is 405-521-2342.
Tell her: "Don't execute an innocent man. Grant Richard Glossip a 60-day stay of execution."

In statements to the media this week, Richard said, "I just want everyone to know the truth. If this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone."7
Thanks for all you do.
