"Bush on Trump: You can't insult your way to the White House"

More: http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/10/politics/jeb-bush-donald-trump-carly-fiorina/

Washington (CNN)Jeb Bush said Thursday that Donald Trump cannot insult his way to the presidency, a reference to controversial remarks Trump made about Carly Fiorina's looks that were published in a recent magazine story.

"Look, I don't get it. I don't see how over the long haul that you can insult your way to the nomination or the president -- certainly not the presidency -- and not the nomination either," Bush told CNN's Jake Tapper on "The Lead."

"This disparaging of women is deeply troubling. It just doesn't make any sense to me," Bush continued. "Carly Fiorina has made a good contribution already and will continue to make a contribution in this nomination process. She should be respected as a talented person and a viable candidate."

Earlier Thursday, Trump attempted to defend the remarks he made about his fellow GOP presidential contender in a Rolling Stone profile published Wednesday.

Actually, with all the "personalities" in the Republican lineup, Jeb is coming across as somewhat sane and moderate. Whoda thunk?

how Trump has lasted for this long, and how even Ben Carson has surpassed Jeb in the polls. Jeb's numbers are looking bad.

The repubbies do not want a novelty candidate winning their nomination. They know Trump is a disaster who will lose in a landslide, no matter who he faces. The party will do something to discredit Trump. They just haven't figured out how to do it yet. There is time.

For decades you guys have been cultivating- nay distilling- the finest elements of this country's totally fucking irrational, unhinged anger, and collecting it in a big jug called "The Republican Party base"
