It's the 2nd largest investor in FoxNews Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal:

News Corp’s number-two shareholder funded ‘terror mosque’ planner

The opponents of the proposed Cordoba Initiative Islamic center planned for Lower Manhattan are fond of suggesting, by way of lengthy and often confusing chains of causation and association, that its principal planner, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, is connected to terrorism. "The imam has been tied to some shady characters," Fox Business Channel's Eric Bolling recently said, "so should we worry that terror dollars could be funding the project?" Blogger Pamela Geller, who has become a regular talking head on cable-news channels to denounce the mosque, has noted Rauf's involvement with a Malaysian peace group that funded the group that organized the Gaza flotilla under the headline, "Ground Zero Imam Rauf's 'Charity' Funded Genocide Mission."

CNN "Headline News" featured 2 hours of Glenn Beck every weeknight, just a few years ago.

The USA simply doesn't have any major liberal media outlets.

Edit to add: Whoops! I misread your post.

Nothing else come even close.
For Liberal news, and anything near the truth or facts, one has to look outside of the US

Certainly Not News. I don't have cable television, so I never get to see MSNBC either. I avoid Fox.

Living in liberal Madison, WI our local affiliates are all pretty good, including the Fox affiliate. So that leaves me with mainstream media or BBC news which I watch occasionally and some progressive radio that is carried on our local radio stations.

Its funny how news consumption has become a flavor like ice cream that people can limit themselves to.

that SOME programing is balanced... for the FOX viewer that means left wing... otherwise, no, not really.

That is the power of propaganda. The American CNN meant for the home market is slightly, depends on the day truly, more balanced than FOX. Both are Establishment media. MSNBC goes for the more progressive market, they are still establishment corporate media. CURRENT, now that is more to the left. Don't get me started on RT.

"The last thing he will want to do is alienate voters by pushing a left-wing agenda."I remember John King on the morning Barack Obama was elected - over and over again he kept stressing this point as he equally stressed the point that when Scott Brown won the Senate race from Massachusetts this represented a seismic change in political attitudes even in liberal Massachusetts. I also remember how CNN ran with the White Water story from earliest days of the Clinton Administration and did everything they could try take Clinton down – relentlessly from day one without ever taking a break. Then during the 2000 election season how they did everything they could to berate Al Gore and portray him as a liar and an out of touch elitist. Then immediately as soon as Fox New “called” Florida and the election for Bush – there was CNN faithfully doing their duty and pushing the Fox News line and knowingly and intentionally representing the scene created in Dade County by GOP operatives as if it was ordinary people standing up for a fair election. We all remember how CNN refused to even cover absolutely pertinent information about the registration fraud and election fraud in Florida. Then in 2004 they played the same game all over again with John Kerry. In fact Kerry couldn't even finish a sentence without some right-wing ding-bat trying to spin everything he said. And of course no one can possibly deny the absolutely crucial role CNN played in intententionally tricking the American public into supporting the invasion of Iraq. All of this goes without even having to mention how CNN represents any challenge to neoliberal economics and "war on terror" assumptions aa crank opinions that are way beyond the pale. I suppose if Fox News sets the standard - CNN may sound left-wing. I guess that's what counts for "left-wing."

MSNBC's evening talk shows are definitely liberal, but the station itself can hardly be considered left.

Your relative's head would probably explode if she ever saw something that was genuinely left wing (like Pacifica's Democracy Now!).

While they don't blatantly smear liberals and Democrats as much as Fox News does, there are numerous cases where they fail to call out Republicans on any lies they tell or ask the hardball questions. They treat both sides the same, even though their side tends to be the chief culprits in our country's woes.
