The Effect Of Democratic Underground On Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds.

I've loved this place since the day I found it.

It matters not the season; primary, secondary, tertiary.

It hurts. It heals. It loves. It hates. It speaks, it cries, it rattles, it roars.

It has accelerated me. Informed me. Shocked me. Frightened me.

If you are all real, then Democratic Underground is a singularly beautiful distributed consciousness.

If you are not, or if I am not, then it is a masterful representation of one.

Awesome.

Cheesecake? Vegan, of course. Mmmmm.

May you all live forever.

But of course we do.

It's the title of a child's science fair experiment that figures in the story:

The Effect of Gamma Rays onMan in the Moon Marigolds.

Very clever!

tuned into the movie a few months back - turned it off

do not know if the movie was bad or just conflicted with a great memory of the stage production

I was thinking it was sci-fi, by Bradbury or something. Knew the title was familiar. By Paul Zindel, author of "The Pigman" - a book I really liked, so I saw the title mentioned on that book. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Effect_of_Gamma_Rays_on_Man-in-the-Moon_Marigolds

This is my go-to place for news. You guys don't miss anything!

Sometimes someone's paw gets slapped -- and it hurts! I've seen it and felt it. We can be dismissive and testy here at times, but most of us share the same values even if we disagree on how and when they should become policy. But overall this is THE place to be. No place like it on Earth.
