Florida Gun-Shooting Range Gets Alcohol Permit

Have you ever wanted to take a shot and down a shot at the same time? Well, wait no more, drunken gun nuts! Just wander over to Daytona Beach, Florida, where the city commission just let a new indoor shooting range get a license to serve alcoholic beverages!

And have you ever thought of a better concept? Gin & tonic … with a Smith & Wesson! Ouzo with your Uzi!

That would be the Halifax Health Med Center. From the American Trauma Society...
A Level II Trauma Center is able to initiate definitive care for all injured patients.

Elements of Level II Trauma Centers Include:

•24-hour immediate coverage by general surgeons, as well as coverage by the specialties of orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, radiology and critical care.
•Tertiary care needs such as cardiac surgery, hemodialysis and microvascular surgery may be referred to a Level I Trauma Center.
•Provides trauma prevention and to continuing education programs for staff.
•Incorporates a comprehensive quality assessment program.

The Statement of Purpose for the General Discussion forum says this:

GUNS

News stories (and related content) from reputable mainstream sources about efforts to strengthen or weaken gun control legislation in any jurisdiction in the United States, national news stories (and related content) from reputable mainstream sources about high-profile gun crimes, and viral political content from social media or blogs that would likely be of interest to a large majority of DU members are permitted under normal circumstances.

Local stories about gun crime and "gun porn" threads showing pictures of guns or discussing the merits of various firearms are not permitted under normal circumstances and should be posted in the Gun Control and RKBA Group.

Open discussion of guns is permitted during very high-profile news events which are heavily covered across all newsmedia.

So I will add them for you

Customers could bring their own guns or rent one on site, the business partners said. If a restaurant customer orders an alcoholic beverage, his or her driver's license will be scanned by staff along with the licenses of everyone else at their table.

If the person drinking wanted to go to the gun range after eating, his or her license would be scanned again and the customer would be flagged as someone blocked from shooting because of the alcohol sale.

He said guns will be prohibited in the restaurant and there will be a big physical gap between the restaurant and range. Mayor Derrick Henry asked how he would know if someone had a gun since people with a concealed weapons permit would be concealing their gun.

Perkinson said he'll post signs around the restaurant warning about the prohibition of weapons in the dining area, and Staudt said he'd consider using a metal detector for customers if commissioners requested that, but they did not.
