Woman Pays Thousands to Adopt Stray Dog That Protected Her From Violent Men

Her boyfriend was at a nearby cafe when the two men approached Bradley and demanded that she get a drink with them. After Bradley declined multiple times, the men became violent, but just as they started grabbing her, a small black dog showed up out of nowhere and scared the two men away. Bradley said:

“[The dog] shot out of nowhere, jumped up at me and began barking and licking my hand, and that made the men think twice. She saved me. She must have noticed something was wrong.

They decided that Pepper was a good name for their new friend, but when they tried to take her to a local vet and animal hospital, they were turned away. They couldn’t find Pepper a home and to make matters worse, the dog followed the couple back to their hotel.

“We closed the door and she waited outside the apartment, but disappeared by the morning.

“When we left [the next morning] to go to the airport, we looked back and Pepper was running after the car. It was heartbreaking.”
