Is there an article or a site that can explain why the Debt is high?

I do know when Obama became president put Bush's wars on the budget not hiding them like Bush

President Obama made a public statement shortly after being elected (maybe 2 to 3 months) revealing this debt. He said he was moving that debt to the general ledger so all Americans would know where things stood. From thereon out, the Republicans blamed President Obama for the high debt.
