Anchor Walks Off Live TV in Disgust After Refusing to Report on Kardashians

(ANTIMEDIA) How many people do you know that would agree with the following statement? “I’ve had enough of the Kardashians…I’m sick of this family! (They’re) a non-story!” I believe most of us, including myself, would shout “amen” at the top of their lungs like it’s a Sunday in the South if we heard someone in the media utter those words. Well, get ready to holler.

The above exclamations are actually direct quotes spoken by Orlando-area news anchor John Brown during a live broadcast of “Good Day Orlando” on Friday.

After covering the usual local news, the show began to transition into a segment about one of the Kardashian daughters recently naming her new pet rabbit “Bruce.” (Just typing that sentence made me want to launch my fist into the computer screen where my pupils are currently fixated. Rest assured, I’m still typing, so I obviously mustered up all of the self-control in my being and refrained.) That’s when Brown interrupted the correspondent reporting the “story” in mid-sentence:

“I am having a good Friday, so I refuse to talk about the Kardashians today,” said Brown. “You are on your own, Amy. I can’t do it.”

As the program’s co-host storms off set, he can be heard off-screen shouting, “I’ve had enough Kardashians. I can’t take any more Kardashian stories on this show.”

1. The tv people would rather

make us all disgusted by a Kardashian non-story than tell us any real news. Good for Mr. Brown! If I had a network, I'd hire him, and he would never have to hear the name "Kardashian" again.

2. This sort of "news" isn't exclusively an Orlando thing.

I watch a "news" station from Toledo and most of their "news" involves restaurants getting pseudo awards, or running some special on their menu, or something. It amounts to a free commercial. Other "news" involves updating the status of a cat that was found with a broken leg.

I tip my hat to Mr. Brown for walking off over the non-story about another Kardashian. Ignore that dysfunctional family and maybe they'll go away. As long as our low-IQ media keep reporting on every dumb thing they do, they'll continue being famous for being famous.

The kardashian's have been a non-story for years. Have no idea why they are still in the news.
Apparently Amy, who I am assuming is the "lady" on John's left, is one of the low IQ'd folks who still watch their program since she kept trying to apologize for John's outburst and saying "people watch them."
