I am in SW Ala.
There was a nice breeze coming from the NE of us, the air felt light and dry.
Mr. Dixie said he could smell "sea air" so we checked the weather and sure enough..alberto.
Which is moving to the W/SW now.
But, because hurricane winds move counter clockwise, we got the benefit of some very nice clear mild weather.
Hopefully that will be the closest a hurricane comes to our area ( but reality says probably not)

Weather was a bit naff in Cuba Wednesday and Thursday. I'm wondering if it swung up from there.

Sadly, I think those of us on the coast will just have to put up with longer hurricane seasons.

There hasn't been a landfall here in I think about 100 years, but with the RNC coming it would figure.

The coastal South should be avoided for big engagements during hurricane season. We've seen a lot of activity in recent years.
