A local news station is reporting that three female pastors of African Methodist Episcopal churches in Clarendon County, South Carolina have received threatening letters. The letter-writer, who calls himself Apostle Prophet Harry L. Fleming, quotes Bible verses to claim that women shouldnt be pastors, and warns that if they dont stop, you and your children will die.
The threats come during a week of suspicious fires at black churches across the South. WLTX reports that pastors of the Greater Union Cypress AME Church, Society Hill AME Church, and Reeseville AME Church have all received the letters. There are several people in U.S. census records named Harry L. Fleming, but most are deceased.
The Clarendon County Sheriffs office told the station its looking into who Harry L. Fleming is, and will post deputies at each church. Cut it out, America.

I posted the brief article from Jezebel, but other news sources are reporting this as well.
I'm not certain, but the threats may have been extended to women pastors that are not African American. I hope the FBI is on this as well as the local police dept. My first thought was that it was the Church of Wells, who disrupted Osteen's Lakewood service several weeks ago.
