Florida Man Fired After Facebook Post Saying He Wants To Marry His Dog

Ryan Uhler thought he was being funny when he took to Facebook to compare marrying his dog to same-sex marriage, but he quickly found himself in the doghouse at work.

Uhler, 32, a resident of Cape Coral, Florida, posted the following message the day after the Supreme Court's June 26 ruling that gay marriage is legal everywhere, according to TheBlaze.com.

”How is marrying a dog different if you love them? Today I hope we can focus on doggy-style love. I love my dog Rocco, and he loves me. Hopefully one day we can be married.”

On Tuesday, his employer, Grace Investment Group, fired him from his position as a digital marketing specialist.

and put on my dumb fuck pants. I mean, hey, just because I work in social media specifically and show up in dumb fuck, be as insulting as possible pants, doesn't mean it wasn't funny as hell, know what I mean?"

Yeah, I can't imagine why you got fired for posting that you want to marry your dog when you work for an investment firm and also work in "digital media".

Just that our 'disagreements' were a bit more vocal...

because when we DO agree, we are whole hearted about it. When we don't, well, that's whole hearted, too!

Don't post anything on there that you wouldn't want your employer to read.

And basically all I ever post (apart from 'happy birthday', and 'awwww your kid is soooo cute!') are links to liberal-leaning web articles, along w/the occasional liberal-biased blurb along with.

If that gets me fired someday, I'll know I was working at the wrong place.

Fortunately, it's that simple for me ... my skills as a DBA means I can work in pretty much any 'field', since EVERYone nowadays uses databases to some extent. If you have a website, chances are very high that you also have a database, feeding information to the templates that make up the site, so ... Lot of jobs out there.

So worst case, someday I may be 'stuck' working for like the Sierra Club or MoveOn or some such ... probably not the worst fate in the world
