Donald Trump is NOT a self made rich man...

He did not struggle up from the working class.

Let's look at his bio page on wikipedia:

"Trump is a son of Fred Trump, a prominent New York City real estate tycoon.[8] He worked for his father's firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son, while attending the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and in 1968 officially joined the company.[9] He was given control of the company in 1971 and renamed it The Trump Organization.[10][11] Trump remains a major figure in the real estate industry in the United States and a celebrity for his prominent media exposure.[12]"

So next time you hear someone say how great a businessman he is, please remind them gently that he grew up with wealth, had it to begin with...

Someone I know inherited 12 million after taxes and was dead broke five years later. At least Trump built on his good fortune.

Could it have been 12 million cash and 300 million in real estate? Could I just be remembering totally wrong?

Like the great god, Quetzalcoatl?

Who would have known that he once was a babe more helpless and indigent than the brute creation; that he lied languishing for days, months and years, totally incapable of providing sustenance for himself, or guarding against the attack of wild beasts of the field, or sheltering himself from the inclemencies of the weather.

He was a normal person, a nice guy. His hair didn't look like it does now. He was drinking something maybe a G&T without the G.

Not personal bankruptcy of course. Oh no. Somehow he manages to leave his creditors holding the bag but usually his personal wealth actually increases.

I don't remember all the details, but Reagan bailed him out to the tune of 600 million dollars! So not only did he piss away all his daddy's fortune, he was given a bailout!
