At work, I was taken back by, but not surprised by the usual loudmouthed conservative's remarks. The graphic/comic above is a perfect metaphor.

They were bending over backwords so hard not to see it, you could've heard snapping of spinal discs. It was clear they were in desperate gun-nut mode, as well as projection mode. Despite the fact that kid actually said it was racially motivated, they were twisting in knots to try to say "libruls" ( one douche said "comrades" ) who are making it a race issue.

These people are such kooks, I honestly don't know how they can be functional in daily life.
