Serious stuff in the House today (AUMF)

Resolution to withdraw all our troops from Syria and Iraq,,,,

Not a serious resolution, just one the Dems put forth to force the congress to debate the war(s), how far the president can go, etc....

All the Reps want to do is blame the president for not having a strategy, but he really needs their permission. They have not done their job for 2 years now.

I've been watching the replay of today's session, but have to go to bed without knowing how it ended....

Very interesting...Barbara Lee one of the sponsors....and Dems have all been good...

Didn't know about it...gardening..

I was happy to see they are doing what they're getting paid for. Nobody but nobody wanted to send the troops home, but the troops on the ground thing might come up if they ever do debate.

The President sent them a request 4 months ago or so, and the Dems came up with this. Some of them were eloquent - I liked Nadler a lot....

thanks for the guy's name, McGovern...I heard it was McSomething - is he from Mass?
