Just something I noticed about Hillary's speech

She never talked about the Democratic Party.

No "As a Democrat..."
No "We are Democrats..."
No 'Our party..."

She only used the word "Democrat" three times, twice to characterize her husband and President Obama, once in a call for "a great debate among Democrats, Republicans, and Independents." She never used the word "party"at all.

She'll probably be nominated; she'll probably be elected. But it would be nice if, on the way, she actually tipped her hat to the party that will go all out to make that happen.

She'd also like Independent voters to vote for her. Nobody will mistake her for anything but a Democrat, I'm sure.

was pushing the Democrat platform. I don't think there is a need when we sorta knew she is running as a DNC candidate.

.. you would think some of these might occur more often.

Context... and yes that was sarcasm.

^snip^

"Due to reports of snipers in the hills around the airstrip, we were forced to cut short an event on the tarmac with local children, though we did have time to meet them and their teachers and to learn how hard they had worked during the war to continue classes in any safe spot they could find," Clinton wrote.

"That is what she wrote in her book," Wolfson said. "That is what she has said many, many times and on one occasion she misspoke."

Asked about the issue during a meeting with the Philadelphia Daily News' editorial board on Monday, Clinton said she "misspoke."

'Minor blip'
"I went to 80 countries, you know. I gave contemporaneous accounts, I wrote about a lot of this in my book. You know, I think that, a minor blip, you know, if I said something that, you know, I say a lot of things -- millions of words a day -- so if I misspoke, that was just a misstatement," she said.

P.S. Minor blip my a$$

If she wins the nomination the attack ads on this will be non-stop.

Keep in mind that this is a news report, not yet an attack ad.

Such poor judgment... Scary that our party is willing to rest our hopes of holding the White House on such a terrible candidate. And then to blame it on sleep deprivation after the whole 3:00 am phone call thing is just crazy. I really hope she can pull herself together for this run because if she has not improved greatly we are all screwed.

She was not particularly effective in getting aid for NYC. While the Pentagon was quickly rebuilt, Bush reneged on half the cash promised to NYC.

While she and I are on different political continents within the party, I've always noticed and appreciated her frequent mention of Democrats and the party in years past.
