Is anybody thinking maybe the neighbors in McKinney are racist

As in, you have a town full of pampered white upper-middle class suburbanites who instinctively see any crowd of black people as dangerous. The black teenagers are just assumed to not belong in the neighborhood. And the residents are thinking, "They must be doing something wrong. We're not sure what, but I'm sure we can think of something. It just seems like they are up to no good. Let's just call the police to figure it out."

That somehow they sensed the innocence and safety of their sheltered, privileged white children being endangered. They felt threatened by that.

And the local residents' racism is validated when the police are called and they turn a non-situation into a situation.

them all kinds of names. Probably one of the closest neighbors.

I read that the white kids tried to help the black kids. And they must have been invited. They were wearing bathing suits. This whole thing is a total disgrace.

She and a younger woman became engaged in physical combat. This is what got the police called.

3. Pig attitude on display. Was the fat white guy in the tan shirt a pig too? Looked like

he had to be. He wasn't being ordered to sit and submit. It looked to me like every black kid was being ordered around to give the pigs total control over everyone that said anything.

The lady that said something to the black teens was an obvious racist (the "the only thing you'll see are these black bars" or something like that - comment is a true elitist and racist thing to say to somebody), but I don't believe McKinney is a bastion of white racists.

13. There's a big history of racism, segregation, and swimming pools

And I wonder if the fact that this was a swimming pool rather than some other kind of recreational space is part of what caused the white people at the pool and the cops to freak out so badly.
