His statement about the TPP is strong...says there must be a stand for or against, no fence sitting.
This appears to be his interview from today. He makes a good point when he wonders if the media will allow civil debate or if they are waiting for him to attack Hillary Clinton.
Great interview.

(17,796 posts)but it's before his 'formal' announcement. Which he still hasn't made. I think this is from yesterday, isn't it?

(13,792 posts)His formal campaign kick off announcement is May 26th.
You can tell from what is being discussed in the interview
it was from today.

I like much of his message, particularly the part about us needing to he more like Scandanavian countries. But, he can't get is there as Prez (yes, that's just my opinion).

(22,871 posts)exasperated for him. It was Sanders trying to get his points out and her basically saying "lets watch you and her fight". It was like a script from Idiocracy.

You're right, much of the political discussion in this nation reads like a bad movie script.

(18,115 posts)Hillary and Bernie will be dunking it out in due time. It's stupid for anyone to pretend like it won't happen.
The question is, who will be nasty, petty an personal. You can go negative and still be respectful. In fact, you cannot win if you don't go negative. Negative simply means distinguishing yourself from the opponent.

(88,117 posts)He also said Clinton should take a position on the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a massive 12-country deal that President Barack Obama is pushing to the dismay of liberals.
"You can't be on the fence of this one," he said. "You're either for it or you're against it. No fence-sitting on this one."
Sanders said he personally likes Clinton. He said he's willing to challenger her on policy issues -- but that he hopes media will cover those differences without Sanders having to launch "reckless attacks."
"Are you in the media prepared to allow us to engage in that serious debate?" he said. "Or do I have to get media attention by simply making reckless attacks on Hillary Clinton or anybody else? I don't believe in that. I believe in serious debates on serious issues."

(32,139 posts)It is delightful to hear him calling out their MO. The way you fight corruption and manipulation is by making them explicit for people.
What he is doing is so important. He is re-teaching this nation what we have a right to expect from a representative political process, and pointing out how perversely ours has been corrupted.
REAL hope and change. We need Bernie in the White House.

(9,298 posts)Because we sure as hell need him. These talking heads make me sick trying to lead him down the garden path, following their agenda of "We want to see a horse race and cage fighting combined. Screw the issues." Bernie is so much smarter than any of them and so far is doing a great job of sticking to this guns.

(3,431 posts)The great thing about Bernie is that he tries to
tell them to stick to the issues.
It is difficult now to tell the people that they are
supposed to lead the government and what
the government should be responsible for.
Unfortunately Reagan's detrimental put down
of government still is prevalent.
