How'd that go over with the minority whites in that state?
Oooh, how about we find a state with a non white majority and have them hold a popular vote to prevent white people from going to church in public.
How can a majority vote on rights for the minority?
(sorry if I'm rehashing a sentiment that's already been posted today, I had errands to run)

Most states are white majority and I believe none have ever voted on the rights for non-whites.

(758 posts)when the courts rule that you cannot discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation, I will feel safe. Until then, my rights are subject to the whim of the majority. Not a pleasant way to live
