(11,001 posts)the FDA with help of congressmen. The six month study was inadequate and has resulted in over 400 people dying from the use of it. It was pointed out that there was already a very reliable blood thinner being used by doctors. The point of this was to force the reliable one to a seldom used status and to insert what became a dangerous drug. Damn shame!

(243 posts)and I can't even describe the level of fear I feel now. And fear makes atrial fibrillation worse. I already hate republicans and the assholes who push these new drugs through because they get paid to, but now I am LIVID!!! The whole point to getting on Pradaxa was so I wouldn't have to have the constant blood tests to check the level of Coumadin, which is hard to get the level right.
There has to be a special place in hell for these bastards to burn. All the deaths caused by this drug will be on their vile, greedy heads. I just hope I'm not one of them.

(243 posts)I've sent an email to Mike Papantonio to ask him for advice. Whether I'll actually hear back, who knows. I'd love to know the sources of the information he was talking about on the show that I could show to my doctor. I'm just hoping to not be patronized by my doctor and patted on the head and sent on my way to figure out what to do next by myself.
