Bernie's slogan? "Enough is enough!"

E. Warren says that too - check out this old thread:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=5954556

Warren as veep?!

Bernie's interview right now with Ed is awesome! Bernie said "enough is enough" twice with Ed, and also earlier when he announced. I don't know if he means this to be the slogan.

There's an aura of unspoken insanity about the US political process and those high up within it. Kind of like the Bridge Officers on the Titanic when they ordered Full Stream Ahead as the ship passed icebergs.

See # 8. about 'enough is enough'. Great slogan but easy backfire against Bernie, who btw is no raving, mental breakdown patient but true prophet like Howard Beal in 1976 'Network', a great, prescient movie.

The slogan(s) will work out- for sure. This candidacy is exciting-

"We don’t want to impose our solutions by force, we want to create a democratic space. We don’t see armed struggle in the classic sense of previous guerrilla wars, that is as the only way and the only all-powerful truth around which everything is organized. In a war, the decisive thing is not the military confrontation but the politics at stake in the confrontation. We didn't go to war to kill or be killed. We went to war in order to be heard."

Yes, it does seem like she'd have more control in the Senate - but this could be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to build a movement to return gov't to the people. The two together would be so powerful, and also set her up as the next prez.

Both use that expression, enough is enough, often - and it builds on what the people were saying with Occupy Wall Street. Both are trusted by young people, who have really lost faith in this country.

Waiting and watching...

In the meantime, I'll be watching and waiting as well! My daughter and I intend to work for Bernie just as we did for Obama (although earlier - didn't join Obama support team until he won the nom). That was one of the first campaigns I ever helped with and I'm 51yo. Heck, if they'll have him, I'll drag my teenage son along to help as well - after all, it's his future. He can't vote yet, but he is very attuned to politics, probably because of the nightly dinner conversation in our house.

I'm glad to have been a part of getting Obama/Biden into office as Obama has been awesome 99.5% of the time, I'm sick that Congress has wasted his two terms and made every single step of his way an uphill battle. I do feel the he and anyone that supports the TTP have betrayed us (his voters, the middle class, American workers, etc.) by trying to ram it through in secrecy. IMO, a constitutional scholar should know better than to support such a policy and method of getting it passed. It's not what America is supposed to be about.

I do think that Bernie has enough cross over that he could win this! I have a VERY conservative, GOP, gun fanatic friend who is seriously looking at Bernie. Of course, he's also looking at Cruz and Gowdy also, so .... He actually said some favorable things about Bernie. I'm encouraged because we had a civil conversation about politics. If he can open his mind enough to take that step, I'm hoping other GOPartier's could as well.

I started with the first Earth Day as a kid, several years before I could vote. It was a time of optimism and empowerment, a movement that got derailed with the think tanks, Reaganomics, the DLC, and all manner of corporate whoredom. This is a chance for Part Two, a new beginning for the people.

Through Being Cool
(from New Traditionalists)
Written by Gerald V. Casale, Mark Mothersbaugh, Robert Mothersbaugh.

We're through being cool
We're through being cool

Eliminate the ninnies and the twits
Going to bang some heads
Going to beat some butts
Time to show those evil spuds what's what

If you live in a small town
You might meet a dozen or two
Young alien types who step out
And dare to declare

We're through being cool
We're through being cool

Spank the pank who tried to drive you nuts
Time to clean some house
Be a man or a mouse
Waste those who make it tough to get around

If you live in a big place
Many factions underground
Chase down Mister Hinky Dink
So no trace can be found

We're through being cool
We're through being cool

Eliminate the ninnies and the twits
Put the tape on erase
Rearrange a face
We always liked Picasso anyway

If you live in a small town
You might meet a dozen or two
Young alien types who step out
And dare to declare

We're through being cool
We're through being cool

Eliminate the ninnies and the twits

We're through being cool
We're through being cool

Spank the pank who tried to drive you nuts
Mash 'em

We're through being cool
We're through being cool
