.if one of my Facebook friends is accurate, he was busy fixing her pool pump.
Seriously. She walked outside the other day and her pool pump was broke. She walks outside two days later and it's working. She has insisted that God fixed her pool pump and she praised him for doing this.
I swear
there are days I don't know whether to shit or go sailing.

(24,411 posts)I constantly see comments about "The Lord is good!" when a child survives cancer. When a child dies of cancer, we're told that "God wanted that person with him now."
People constantly praising God for the near-miss car accident or their husband getting a great job. Seriously? You think God is a micro-manager? Furthermore, you actually believe that there is some deity who would do nothing about masses of starving children or catastrophic tsunamis--yet you're so special that he was attuned to your husband's search for a great accounting job?
I feel sorry for human beings sometimes. But happy to live during times when people are waking up a bit.

(42,641 posts)Each time that the US invades and destroys a country, there is no remake of the country. Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, the list is long. The US invades, the country disintegrates, the US leaves.
The media of course ignores the cause of the tragedies because anything that happened more than 30 days ago is old news.

(42,641 posts)the biggest threat to a peaceful planet. The US. At least that is what the rest of the world believes. See the link:

But most US citizens are true believers in the religion of American exceptionalism.
