Users can save between 7 and 10 percent on flights to Boston Pride, LA Pride and Utah Pride Festival, by booking via the specially-tailored webpage.
Other events featured include Chicago Pride, New Orleans Pride, Seattle Pride and Portland's Pride Northwest.
Alaska Airlines, the seventh largest air carrier in the US, also has a webpage dedicated to gay wedding destinations.
A spokesperson for the organization says: 'At Alaska, we have been longtime supporters of the LGBT community and remain committed to a more equitable society.'
'We were elated when the State of Washington expressed the same commitment by legalizing marriage for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.'
'To show our continued support we are encouraging the LGBT community to travel, not only to Seattle, but to Pride events and gay friendly destinations all over the country.'

(100,063 posts)I'm betting:
"Could a gay mile high club be happening your next Alaska Airlines flight?"
Or:
"How long until Alaska Airlines allows a man to bring his donkey companion on board your flight?"
Or:
"Alaska Airlines is promoting sodomy. You must find another airline to travel on or you will suffer the consequences."

(46,436 posts)unless we're going somewhere they don't go. They don't charge baggage fees for Alaska residents who are enrolled in their Club 49 (free), and if you're traveling within the state, you can take three bags a piece, which is pretty handy in the winter if you're carrying a lot of winter gear.

(31,464 posts)In all seriousness...I can literally hear crazy Fox "News" anchors questioning how this is fair. If LGBT community is all the same and wants equal treatment, why do they get a discount just because of sexual orientation?
I am NOT saying this is my personal position. I can just see how this opens doors to more divisiveness, as Bubba gets outraged when he discovers that the girl in the next seat is transgendered, but gets a special discount for her "lifestyle." (I put that in quotes for a reason!)
That said, I applaud Alaska Airlines' decision.
