The Chief of Police in North Charleston SC said that he

considered the police officers under him as his "children". And then asked how would one feel if this happened to anyone's child. What?! Is he running a daycare? Little Jimmy got caught with his hand in a cookie jar?! What about the man who is someone's child that the Police Chief's nursery attendee murdered? How do you think the parents and family feel. Thank jeebus for video.! If this "chief" ran his department as a place where adults worked and treated them like adults with adult consequences maybe his employees wouldn't commit murder. This shit is going to get worse before it gets better. I just hope there are major changes to keep other unnecessary murders by policemen from happening.

The officer clearly painted a far different picture about the circumstances of the shooting to supervisors than what actually occurred. The chief might be disturbed not only by the shooting but conduct in the aftermath (planting the taser on the victim, presumably lying about it, etc.).

the qualifier for "elderly" is relative to the age of the one speaking,/reporting/commenting?
