Evangelicals Are Clear. THEY Will Continue To Persecute LGBT People No Matter What.

The evangelicals believe they will eventually be in control of US. And they will roll back all laws they disagree with. They simply will never give up forcing their views on everyone else. FU USA IS THEIR MOTTO.

We must understand we are dealing with a completely intransigent crowd. You are persecuting Christians if you dare to disagree.

beat those of us who do not share their beliefs into submission. I want to say that not all religious people are evangelicals. I have many friends who identify as Christian who cringe at what these people do in the name of God. However, those who are in that crazy right wing of the Christian faith look more and more like the Taliban every day.

We have neighbors here in Oklahoma who refuse to talk to us because of our "lack of faith", it is truly amazing and scary at the same time.

And then you need to look at our replacements - cockroaches/ants/etc. They all have their own species-preferences. If you aren't a good mate, you are a good meal.

I grow weary of the trope that says 'this just started, they used to be reasonable but now they are not'. Religious right has always been exactly like this. No different. This is how they were during Reagan and during Bush. People need to accept that. This country sat idly by while tens of thousands of Americans died for 7 years of religiously inspired silence toward AIDS. It will be very difficult for straight America to do worse than it already has.
This round is far more encouraging because more of the straight community is aware of and reacting to the issues at hand.

nothing new. The religious right backed slavery during that particular period of american history. Backed segregation, opposed integration and the civil rights statutes. Religion is the bane of human existence.

Lobby family after all. It's not just Evangelicals that attack LGBT, it's the religious right which includes the Catholic leadership not only in the United States but all over the world.
Of course on DU, some hateful religious bigots are said to be progressive heroes of the people, while others are correctly called hateful bigots. Depends on the costumes.

each time one of these hater's business is ruined because of their hating.

Doesn't cost much to protest these businesses - to rip off their 'white robes' and expose them to the world that they are haters. Do the teabaggers have enough money to help the haters rebuild their businesses each time one gets tanked?

forget Jesus was not crucified because he taught people to hate each other.

In some ways we do them a favor by telling them "no" because then they think they can feel persecuted. We fulfill their idea of the end times. Anything we do to oppose them fuels their belief.

I don't know how to fight this other than to offer to bake a wedding cake for the gay couple and ignore the idiots. Fighting them has simply gotten them a half a million dollars. Ignoring them would have left them with nothing to cry about but poorer.

By the way I would bake that cake but you would not want it - I am a poor cook. But you get the idea.
