did bush raid the old age and survivors ss fund to pay for the iraq war?
read this abt the web and was hoping for confirmation.

1. As far as I know, he charged it...put it on the cuff...asked for a supplemental appropriation
whenever he needed more money. It never went on budget until Obama was elected and he put it into the budget. Another reason the deficit was extremely high which gave the republicans a reason to scream louder about the deficit...that they caused.

2. No. The Iraq war was financed by the Treasury borrowing money same as all deficit

7. so, essentially, he stole from us in order to commit genocide.
a strong word but how many iraqis have died now and for what?
would consider what is happening to the elderly and disabled in my community a kind of genocide too. imo. |

5. He increased the deficit and did not include the cost in the budget.
Now the GOP wants to control everything with refusing to fund it, interesting huh.
