But the coolest is no doubt the hack one dad did to make it so the lead character of one of the Zelda games were female, so that his daughter could play the game as herself.

Started playing Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition. Lara Croft is a pretty strong character.
Plus any of the females in the Borderlands game series.
Oh and the females in Mass Effect.

(68,918 posts)Admittedly, I'm not a huge gamer, but this game was incredible and something my husband and I would take turns playing with all the lights turned off and the entertainment center's speakers plugged into our PC. (Don't ask me about the time I panicked and saved my game right when Lara was falling off a cliff)
Incredibly strong female character, in my opinion.
