Elizabeth Warren: Naïf, or Hater?

From what I hear, Wall Street, pharmaceuticals, telecom, big polluters and outsourcers are all salivating at the chance to rig the deal in the upcoming trade talks. So the question is, Why are the trade talks secret? You’ll love this answer. Boy, the things you learn on Capitol Hill,” Warren said. “I actually have had supporters of the deal say to me ‘They have to be secret, because if the American people knew what was actually in them, they would be opposed...

Think about that. Real people, people whose jobs are at stake, small-business owners who don’t want to compete with overseas companies that dump their waste in rivers and hire workers for a dollar a day—those people, people without an army of lobbyists—they would be opposed. I believe if people across this country would be opposed to a particular trade agreement, then maybe that trade agreement should not happen.

-Elizabeth Warren

Polluting is cheap and is what made America what it is: Polluted

If you want more of that then vote for more of that.

If you'd like to see less of that then don't vote for or buy that.

I heard the Clints are gonna start ranting and raving like those environmental wackos who told us that polluting may look cheap, but it really isn't. Yes, you heard it here first, on a Manny thread! Oh joy!

distrust Obama -- even if Democrats -- until there is no way they can criticize him with any degree of credibility.

I mean, that Muslim DINO, third wayer, corporate shill, and worse, has sold us down the river numerous times..

from 2006-2007, and a 31 percent increase from 2008-2009.

See Table 2 and compare the figures vs the most recent figure of 1,258,000. Because, math.

Thank you again for your efforts to shift blame away from George W Bush to the man you have repeatedly felt wronged the country by defeating John McCain.
