LINCOLN When Kent Hanlin saw the Bible verse painted on the wall near the entrance of the Nebraska State Patrol office, he thought it was inappropriate.
So the investigator mentioned his concern to fellow employees in the agencys Norfolk office.
Before long, Hanlin and two supervisors were called into a meeting with the captain, the top ranking officer in northeast Nebraska.
He was upset with me, Hanlin said. He basically told me I was going to hell because of my beliefs.
