Alabama is up for sale on Ebay!

Someone on Ebay, in protest of Alabama's stand on gay marriage, posted the state for sale.
The description of the sale "item" is marvelous!

Snip:

We loved this state for many years, but now that Alabama is subverting federal law by allowing officials to refuse to perform same-sex marriages, it's time to let her go. Frankly, 49 states is enough.

We've tried to trade Alabama to other countries in the world, but even Saudi Arabia and Iran thought it was, frankly, too backwoods and messed up. We even tried to deal it to ISIS, but they were worried that Alabama is too fundamentalist.

Much more at the link.

Here is link..scroll down past the flags for sale, about 1/4 down on page.

I wonder who's the lucky bidder who apparently got Alabama for one dollar?

Wow, one dollar, you got a good deal.

It could rival Jefferson's Louisiana Purchase in terms of wise business moves.

Alabama is now is good hands.

Let us know some of your short-term & long-term goals, when you have the time!

Minimum wage $25 per hour, with cost of living allowance.

Maximum wage of $1 million per year, remainder going to free schools.

Maximum wealth of $50 million, remainder going to free health care.

Corporations that use resources in the great State of Dixiegrrrrl's Alabama pay same rate as individuals.

Revenues go toward zero unemployment, with workers improving infrastructure.

Alabama becomes leading solar energy supplier in the world.

Alabama has largest surplus of any state in the nation.

Use surplus partially in form of payments to working people, partially to open up trade with other nations, partially to form militia to protect from invasion from neighboring red states.

So now what do you think you'll do with Alabama? I mean, it's an entire state and you could sell off assets, or raise taxes, or open orphanages. The possibilities are endless!

I am SO glad the buyer is someone who will take good care of it.

on the condition that whoever wins the bid for them has to move them to Texas.

and make voting mandatory like they do in Australia.

and make pot legal, of course, along with marriage equality.

for starters.

I'm liking all your proposals so far. I think the great State of Alabama will be improving in very little time!

Nick Saban's zillion-dollar contract? That could be a drawback.
