2015 Hillary Clinton still hasn't learned what 2007 Obama taught
Campaign Obama would have addressed and moved past a story like Hillary's email use in a day or two. During his campaigns Obama was masterful at getting out and ahead of stories quickly and efficiently. His skill was to hit the issue head on and pivot or counterpoint to stay in control of the frame.
Hillary didn't do this in 2007-2008 and clearly hasn't learned still. Maybe it's hubris or a disconnect with modern politics. But, if she can't learn how to quickly neuter a story like this one, it will be a long and painful campaign. Regardless of how much you like what she supposedly stands for or what she represents, to win she needs to learn how to do more than raise money and hope to simply weather the storms.

2. I have yet to hear her 2016 platform.
Have you?
It's been a while since she's given a campaign speech. We live in a different political world than in 2008. Whatever you think her platform will be, you've not heard 2016 speech yet. The point remains, she hasn't learned how to head off stories early. Eta: piss poor form going after the poster rather the the post. |

3. If you meant you are unaware of her positions, then let me help

I went after what you said, you said what I quoted...if you meant you didnt know what she stood for, then fine You should have said that, otherwise to me it sounds like you are questioning her honesty. |

13. Is that site operated by Hillary Clinton? Or the Clinton campaign?
The vast majority of the citations on that site are quite stale in political terms, dating back to her 2008 campaign.

4. No more an agenda than your reply.
All politicians supposedly stand for this, that, or another...only to lick their finger and stick it in the wind.

6. AGreed, I have an agenda, it started when I saw thread after thread, post after post
on DU going after Hillary emails with the exact same language as the TeaParTY and rightwing sites used.
Many many many threads and posts. When I saw that, I went from a reluctant supporter of Hillary, from the very far left person that I am who thought almost anyone in our party would be better than Hillary, to a supporter of Hillary. Why I did that is because I am not new at this. I know who is attacking her and why. You bet your ass I have an agenda, it is to do everything in my power as a human being to avoid any republican alive taking the WH in 2016. ![]() |

10. Where does she stand on Netanyahu's speech? Obama/Kerry negotiations with Iran?
What is her position WRT Keystone XL pipeline?
Does she support the President's veto? Would she sustain it if elected? Does she support net neutrality? Would she favor an effort to overturn Citizens United either legislatively or through a constitutional amendment? These are just a few issues that are important to a lot of Democratic voters. There are probably a lot more. If she has outlined her position on any of them, I haven't heard it. Her platform seems to be, "Nominate me, then I'll let you know what I plan to do if elected". Or maybe even "Elect me president because it's my turn. I'll come up with an agenda afterward." |

11. ...
Consider Constitutional Amendment against Citizen's United. (Jul 2014)
http://www.ontheissues.org/hillary_clinton.htm That should make you happy... As to the others, do you expect her to comment on the Netanyahu issue? I dont, ongoing foreign policy of a president in her policy. Net neutrality, who knows, but I would be shocked if she didnt. Rated 89% by the LCV, indicating pro-environment votes. (Dec 2003) |

14. Meh. The "non story" "fake story" blah blah continues because
Hillary Clinton has not ended it. She needs to show prove her ability to be an effective campaigner is she has any hope of winning.
It's better she (we) learn this during the primary stage. |

7. There are many more constraints on her now, than on Obama in '08.
Mainly her husband, his (and her) Global Initiative activities, and her character of being reticent after horrific attacks thru the years. Plus Bill and his libidinous proclivities, which have no mirror with Michelle as a spouse.
I crave for Hillary to be Hillary, but I despair at her instinct of opaque caution at moments when caution increases the volume of criticism, whether warranted or not. No, she could not learn from Obama, because the situations were so very different. His age gave him little to lose. He could repeat. She cannot. |

9. given she hasn't even declared to run for president yet... there really isn't a story here.
The GOP gets away with not answering questions like if you believe in evolution or climate change all the time. Not addressing a story while in pseudo retirement I'm not sure is up to the same bar as what you do during an actual campaign. Just because the 24hr media is in election mode all the time doesn't mean the public is. Frankly the polls show her likely voters don't give a crap and aren't paying attention to the fake story. Most are far more interested in if this economic boom is going to last or not. She knows that. We all know that. If you walk away from your 24 news station suddenly crap like this doesn't matter anymore. Walk away from old CNN.
