anymore.

Richard Nixon committed treason, undeniable, and Reagan had emissaries negotiate with Iran to hold the hostages so he could be elected.

Neither were not only not tried for treason, until recently almost nobody even mentioned it.

Boehner inviting Netanyahu, borders on treason or violating the Logan Act, but Boehner is a Republican and therefore there are no consequences, political or legal.

We should stop pretending and not even use words or phrases anymore that have anything to do with patriotism or loyalty to country; loyal not in a blinded way but loyal in a caring and productive way.

Whatever light on the hill or exceptional value we may have once had or thought we had, has been thrown out the window and trampled on by people who dont have the first fucking clue what patriotism really is.

Last refuge of the scoundrel? Doesn't have to be, but in their case, it is.

They won't see the crime, only the man confessing to doing wrong. They'll say he didn't know what he was doing, so they excuse him.
