insisted that "global warming" was "invented by Al Gore to make millions." One cannot argue with that level of denial--I've learned the hard way.

If only the oil companies had Al Gore's kind of money to argue against global warming, maybe they could afford lobbyists and propaganda mouthpieces, or maybe whole cable "news" channels to fight for their interests. Sadly, as we all know, oil companies have little money to spare and no influence on politics. Those poor, poor oil companies.
