on their interpretation of what their religion teaches. No prohibition at all. Be that Christian, Muslim, Buddhist .......

In many states there are 'blue laws', maily on alcohol sales. It is not unconstitutional to prohibit certain activities on certain days of the week. It can be argued that the reason for having no alcohol sales on sundays is because people should be 'sittin in the pews!'.

Nothing at all unconstitutional about that.

What WOULD be unconstitutional is saying everyone HAD to be sitting in pews on sundays.

From the Dead Milkmen:

Up on the hilltop where the vultures perch
That's where I'm gonna build my church
Ain't gonna be no priest, ain't gonna be no boss
Just Charles Nelson Reilly nailed to a cross
I don't piss, I don't shit, I'm gettin' no relief
People shake their heads in disbelief, go

Just me on a hilltop with 15 girls
In a Nelson Reilly orgy that'll make your hair curl
I don't piss, I don't shit, I'm gettin' no relief
People shake their heads in disbelief

Yeah, Charles Nelson Reilly, he's our man
He can't heal the sick with the touch of his hand
He can't walk on the water, can't make wine flow
Just another greedy actor on the late, late show
I don't piss, I don't shit, I'm gettin' no relief
People shake their heads in disbelief, go

Just me on a hilltop with 15 girls
In a Nelson Reilly orgy that'll make your hair curl

They, like many churches, post pithy signs out front. One message that gets put up at least once a year for a few weeks is, "Believe in Zeus? Neither do we!"

It makes me chuckle when I spot it each year. But it probably doesn't tickle my funny bone quite the way they intended.

Most of their legends are based around the idea that the gods are powerful, capricious, and will ruin your life if you get on their bad side. None of this "God loves every single living person, so much that he frequently inflicts hideous disasters on them because reasons" framework that later religions had.
