"Black People are Literally Saying "Stop Killing Us!" And there are people saying "But....."

If your concerns about violence are limited to property damage and looting, and you have never shed two tears for the history of institutional violence, murder, colonialism, segregation, lynching, genocide and police brutality against peoples of color, your words mean nothing; they mean less than nothing. Your outrage, in such a case is grotesque, an inversion of morality so putrescent as to call into question your capacity for real feeling at all. So long as violence from below is condemned while violence from above is ignored, you can bet that the former will continue–and however unfortunate that may be, it is surely predictable. If you’d like the former to cease, put an end to the latter, and then I promise you, it will.

And disrespect for the lives of the murdered black men and children that have died senselessly and violently targeted by white "peace officers." They show no remorse for their actions. They made it all about them. Poor pitiful me.

Thats why they go out of their way to explain away any injustice. People Cannot face that the SYSTEM...all of it...is based on lies. If they accepted this then they would have to reorganize their entire belief system and they are way to intellectually lazy for that.

like that. There was Internal Affairs to determine if it were a "good shoot" or not. Cops were known to plant guns if the victim was unarmed and they used deadly force. Didn't want it to look like it was.. murder.

Now in recent years it's all but impossible to indict a cop.. what the hell happened?

We all know Darren Wilson and Daniel Pantaleo should have been indicted for killing Michael Brown and Eric Garner.. Will Timothy Loehmann be indicdted for killing Tamir Rice.

Thank you for keeping this front and center, she.

My dad was a Chicago cop. The crap they did and got away with would make you sick. They used to get "desk duty" for "excessive force". After they were cleared they'd get a commendation. They would sit around our kitchen table and tell "war stories" about beating the living crap out of people. Laughing about how the guy looked afterward, about leaving him in the street. It was terrifying.
As with everything, things have gone to the next level. Now a "good beating" isn't enough to teach the lesson they want us to learn. Which for me as a kid and now for everyone is compliance/obey. Do as you are told, it doesn't matter if they are wrong or right or if they are violating you rights. Just do it or else...

I was also young too.

Something about it didn't pass the smell test like nothing else and it was being shoved down their throats.

I remember the movie The Majestic a movie screenwriter is accused of communist sympathies and tells his co-worker "I'm apolitical you know that. Republicans, Democrats, Communists. They all look alike to me." the other character responds "I'd be very careful in what you say."

He does end up taking a stand which was the freedom to live our lives but the point I'm making, I can't understand why someone would be apolitical since politics can be so frustrating. I'd trust apoliticals more than politicals, mostly in positions of government. There is a lot that is weighed against doing the right thing for politicians. Also all the money "will lie for you for money", it depends why someone is apolitical. No interest in anything at all that relates to politics in any way vs who lost hope in the system, well I agree more there, but we all should have the freedom to live our lives.

I agree with the powerful words from Tim Wise.

I've seen it in situations where everyone was white except me, and they assume I must be guilty of something.

I've seen it in situations even with white girls I've been in romantic long-term relationships with. When I approach them outside at night or something to greet them and they scream if they don't recognize me. A nearly blind disabled white woman I encountered recently was having trouble crossing the street and she screamed when I verbally asked if she needed any help. That scared me, so I quickly walked away. She refused help from a woman of color who offered to help as well.

Any of them could have easily shot me dead and got away with it for self defense.

That sort of fear is more widespread than people think, even in very liberal neighborhoods full of very educated people.

Something just like this has happened to me as well:

of fighting, crying, dying and still fighting, crying and dying to be recognized as human beings. With that number of years of warfare against the racist KKKulture of this country, that continues unabated and seemingly growing today in 2015 at the behest of the real powers of this country, it seems to me that this KKKulture is irredeemably lost to the RW racists that now make the laws of the nation. A veto pen only works sometimes. Those real people of power that are keeping the willfully ignorant agitated and stirred up against the POC, to distract and deflect attention of those IGNORANT, willfully blind masses, while they are robbing ALL of us into real poverty is a shameful reflection of what this country likes to portray itself as being to the world. What a goddamn joke this 'democracy' is. The hypocrisy and irony of any POC STILL having to fight for rights in the first goddamn place, rights enjoyed by the 'privileged', is not appreciated by MANY out here still fighting, crying and dying at the hands of the david duke clones who hide behind badges and their masters in the Congressional and Judicial halls of power. It's all about power and a lot of them are very afraid of losing their illusion of power, supremacy and privilege.

As for...

It's the whole policing system, not just white officers, nor male officers.

The police system is corrupt. Yet is a majority of white LEO's unfairly targeting black males. Said black males are being shot to death. Many said males are unarmed. There is an unprecedented amount of excessive force being used. White men make it to jail and court. Black men make it to a coffin riddled with bullets.

Now how were those peaceful BLACK PROTESTERS treated.

Oh, yes.

In fact, I've seen posts saying the entire Eric Garner arrest/death was due to white oppression, conveniently ignoring the fact that the senior and supervising officer of the arrest was an African-American female that didn't say word 1.

http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/decision-not-indict-eric-garner-death-disgrace-article-1.2032435

"Pantaleo who applied the lethal chokehold on Eric Garner was supervised by an African-American female NYPD sergeant...As awful as Pantaleo’s actions appear on that video, at no time does that black sergeant order Pantaleo to stop choking Garner...Any chance of a federal civil rights case will be hampered by that African-American police sergeant’s presence."

Like I said, ALL POLICE.

Added:
http://www.laprogressive.com/watching-eric-garner-die/

"Sergeant Kizzy Adoni, present during the detention and subsequent use of force, apparently failed to intercede on behalf of the obviously distressed and pleading Eric Garner."

the proof is in the numbers and the numbers point to "white peace officers" overwhelmingly targeting POC and killing unarmed POC. If that wasn't true, then why the sudden articles from "peace officers of color" being afraid of their white brethren targeting them when they are out of uniform, working undercover and off duty? That is telling of the racial divide even among the "officers of peace"..
