Cops Hunt Down & Kill Man After He Makes A YouTube Video That Police Find "Threatening"

This guy clearly has (or I should say had) some major "issues" with authority, and was also arguably endangering the cops, but still ... he was unarmed ... they couldn't shoot out the tires? ... and why did they even feel a need to hunt him down in the first place, as a "terrorist"?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this guy was totally innocent, or that his video made any sense, or that his behavior while being chased down was appropriate at all ... he was acting out something with the cops and/or authority figures in general. He actually appears to have needed a good counselor or shrink. It's sad to me that cops act this way.

Why can't we have cops like they have in Sweden, where they've only killed ONE person in the entire history of their police force?

Cops Hunt Down And Kill A Man After He Made A YouTube Video That Police Found Threatening
By John Vibes * December 31, 2014 * Free Thought Project

Police fired so many bullets that it sounded like “a fireworks grand finale”

Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania – A man was shot and killed by police in a Philadelphia suburb this Tuesday night, just days after he made inflammatory posts about police on YouTube.

A minimum of five police officers fired an unknown amount of shots at 52-year-old Joseph Anthony Pacini, claiming that he was attempting to run them over, all five of them at the same time, apparently.

In the eerie videos that he posted online earlier this month, he actually predicted his own death, saying that “Clearly these guys want me dead or in prison and there’s no way in hell I’m going back to prison.”

“The lose-lose scenario, you try to arrest me. Consequently, there will be serious and irreversible catastrophic consequences,” Pacini also said in one of the videos.

At that point it seems that police actually had no prior warrants against him and no reason to arrest him, but they were so upset by the videos that they decided to arrest him for making “terrorist threats.”

Isn't "running away" the exact opposite of being a threat?

Big part of the problem right there, if no one is required to make accurate reports of course they feel free to do what ever.

I hadn't even connected those dots ... duh. .. so thank you.

Which is not to say that the disproportionately high numbers of blacks v. whites being gunned down by cops is in any way acceptable. NONE of this shit is acceptable. It's cruel cowards and bullies hiding behind badges and guns, who are afraid of their own shadow, and who almost always shoot-to-kill first and make up excuses later.

is that I have an adult (white) son who suffers from bipolar disorder, and who has serious episodes every 2-3 years. He's been taken into custody numerous times by police, who have so far managed to not shoot him dead. He has been tasered many times.

I'm super grateful for the Portland Police who did show some restraint, compassion and understanding when dealing with my son. Portland cops are not necessarily noted for their restraint when dealing with minorities and/or poor and/or mentally ill, but in my son's case; they have generally behaved like good cops, not bad.

ON EDIT: For the record, my son is NOT suicidal, but is a danger to himself during a serious episode. There can be a huge difference between these two (suicidal and being a danger to self) but they can be virtually indistinguishable to someone untrained and/or who doesn't intimately know the person.

have been in this case. Suicide cases are hard to understand, some are not able to handle the end by themselves and choose the cop way. I am not so sure many of the cops wants or is anxious to assist.

It's so sad to have a child with bipolar. The chronic underlying fear of an episode going wrong haunts us every moment. The intense love and fear we have for them. We pray for their safety always.

nothing of the reputation of this particular site for accuracy and for comprehensiveness.

This guy's ravings remind me of my younger brother (also bi-polar) when he's not taking his meds. Really sorry to hear about your son. What a heartbreak that must be.

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/20141231_Police_investigating_Drexel_Hill_shooting.html

It was rush hour on a heavily traveled street, and five officers opened fire. Now what is wrong with this picture? The article noted that bullets hit two buildings in the area...a bank and medical building.

I know a number of leos who are really nice, level headed people, so I am not by any stretch a cop hater. But #%@ like this leaves me wondering what the hell are they thinking..or not as the case may be.
