Remind him and shame him and Hannity on TV for saying nothing and even encouraging Bundy supporters for their cop killings. It's pathetic. On FOX they suggest armed insurrection all the time. Cops would have to oppose them besides the few racist crazy ones. These idiots on FOX need to be called out.

19. At the level of the individual right-winger, there are various degrees of
cognitive dissonance raging. To wit, one of the deceased NYPD cops is Asian (Liu) and the other is Latino (Ramos). BUT the alleged shooter is black. So does hatred of 'black' trump anti-Asian and anti-Latino racism or vice versa? That's aside from the cognitive dissonance baked in to cop as legitimate enforcer of law (NYPD is municipal so OK) vs. cop as illegitimate representative of tyranny (BLM officers are federal so not OK).
My suspicion is that the cognitive dissonance (basically, psychic anxiety produced by holding 2 or more contradictory positions) gets resolved (basically lessened) by legitimizing municipal cops' authority and weighting heavily toward the anti-black racism (thereby letting the anti-Asian and anti-Latino racism go for the duration of this incident). But that's just a layperson's guess. |

64. Although American blacks share much more in common with American whites than any other
group in America especially compared to those recently coming to these shores in the last 50 years...they are despised the most. It's easy for whites of all ethnicities to overlook the gangs and organized crime groups of other than black ethnicity. They all seem to focus on only black criminals and black on black crime as though it was a threat to them. You hardly ever hear about white on white crime...the militia's bank robberies, thefts of government property, and certainly white collar crimes that ultimately screw over working men and women of all backgrounds.

http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2014/jun/09/neighbors-couple-suspected-las-vegas-killing-spree/
Hours after a man and woman killed two police officers at an east Las Vegas pizza restaurant and then gunned down another victim at a nearby Wal-Mart before killing themselves, a picture of the shooters began to emerge. Residents at an apartment complex where it appeared the two lived together said they had a reputation for spouting racist, anti-government views, bragging about their gun collection and boasting that theyd spent time at Cliven Bundys ranch during a recent standoff there between armed militia members and federal government agents. |

24. See G. Gordon Liddy
August 25, 1986: Liddy's felony convictions rendered him unable to legally possess firearms. Despite this, Liddy founded G. Gordon Liddy & Associates, a private security firm. When asked how he was able to maintain such a close relationship with guns despite his status as a convicted felon, Liddy replied, "Mrs. Liddy has an extensive collection of firearms, some of which she keeps on my side of the bed."[24]
August 26, 1994: Now if the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms comes to disarm you and they are bearing arms, resist them with arms. Go for a head shot; they're going to be wearing bulletproof vests." "They've got a big target on there, ATF. Don't shoot at that, because they've got a vest on underneath that. Head shots, head shots.... Kill the sons of bitches.[25] September 15, 1994: If the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms insists upon a firefight, give them a firefight. 34. Foxnews hailed Clive Bundy as a modern day Ronald Reagan.
Even after he opened his mouth and let his inner racist out, Foxnews already had all the clips it needed to put together a good propaganda piece about the scary commie government. Bundy then was portrayed as the ignorant (but noble) rancher cowboy that just was out of touch - but still a good guy (because he waved guns at cops).
Then again, just about anything that can have a double standard...is SOP for Foxnews. |

46. Condoned? Hell, they made them on hate radio!
http://fair.org/take-action/action-alerts/did-msnbc-know-liddys-history/
In an April 27 debate about extreme talk radio rhetoric, MSNBC's Scarborough Country turned to an unusual guest: right-wing talker G. Gordon Liddy, who ten years ago called for the killing of federal agents....
That would mean that Liddy has not listened to his own program. On August 26, 1994, Liddy told his radio listeners: "Now if the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms comes to disarm you and they are bearing arms, resist them with arms. Go for a head shot; they're going to be wearing bulletproof vests." Liddy's advice that day was explicit: "They've got a big target on there, ATF. Don't shoot at that, because they've got a vest on underneath that. Head shots, head shots.... Kill the sons of bitches." This was far from an isolated incident. On September 15, 1994, for example, Liddy told his listeners: "If the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms insists upon a firefight, give them a firefight. Just remember, they're wearing flak jackets and you're better off shooting for the head." The theme was repeated so often that Liddy's callers began to exclaim "head shots!" to express their agreement with the host, the way Rush Limbaugh's callers say "megadittos." After Liddy's talk of shooting federal agents received media attention, in the wake of the Oklahoma City bombing (London Independent, 4/24/95), some stations dropped Liddy's program. In a press conference responding to the controversy (Associated Press, 4/25/95), Liddy clarified his advice by noting that shooting a federal agent in the head might not be the ideal plan: "So you shoot twice to the body, center of mass, and if that does not work, then shoot to the groin area." ![]() (h/t Will Pitt ![]() |
