Odd thing about the right and Cubans

Ask them whether we should grant citizenship to people who enter the uS unlawfully.

I've been waiting for one to say, "I suppose now Obama will grant amnesty to illegals from Cuba."

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]The cohort of rich old Cubans who left when their buddy Batista was overthrown by Castro are interested in two things only:

1. Revenge against Castro and his government for depriving them of their riches, gained by enslaving their own countrymen with the support of the dictator Batista.

2. Re-seizing their lost land wealth from the people of Cuba, regardless of who it now might hurt among their former countrymen (and re-enslaving them as dirt-cheap labor again).

The only "freedom" they're interested in is their own - to oppress others for their own enrichment. They're nothing more than the Cuban version of our South's vicious old plantation owners.

I'm absolutely delighted that they're reaching the end of their time and that younger generations of Cuban-Americans are taking a more humanitarian view.
