No emotion. Who kills a child and then shows no emotion. Just a polite apology, with excuses no less, but with no outward signs of remorse?
It should have been a break down, I'm so sorry, have mercy on me moment. Or at least a welling up of tears moment. Something. IMHO

(36,437 posts)Zimmerman visibly harrumphed at the defense table. This guy is going to be an easy witness to cross-examine. And he'll almost certainly have to take the stand to mount an affirmative defense in this case.

(50,182 posts)He said he didn't know how young Trayvon was, said he thought he was close to his age (28). That is a bald-faced lie.
In his non-emergency call to 911, he was asked by the dispatcher how old did he think the person he was watching was and Zimmerman said "late teens", "19".
Here is a link to the audio of Zimmerman's call, the age question comes up at approx the 1:12 mark:

Edited to add what Zimmerman actually said this morning in his false apology:
"I am sorry for the loss of your son. I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit older than I was," Zimmerman said addressing Martin's family directly.
