(11,175 posts)There's probably some positive correlation between political conservatism and engaging in or defending catcalling, but I'm sure it's not a perfect correlation.
We shouldn't shy away from the uncomfortable truths that some of the men that Tom Tomorrow nailed are reliable Democratic voters.

No seriously!
The cartoon is amusing and droll, and right on the money..... as usual.
But of course, biology is involved with this subject matter and we are its "bitches". Men will always find attractive women attractive (and vise versa of course) and men are biologically more aggressive when it comes to sex.... and none of that is news to anyone nor is there anything we can really do about that.
But notice how Tom Tomorrow starts with the ""biology" part and then it degenerates into bad behavior. There is nothing wrong with being aroused by a beautiful sexy person. But then how you act on your arousal is another matter altogether!

(8,267 posts)are subjective concepts. Please do not conflate aesthetics with sexism.
(Also, your use of the word "bitches," in quotation marks, suggests that you have some room to address your own sexism.)

I will say it's like you just saw a few buzz words and didn't even read what my post said.

(12,754 posts)Is to ask a straight man how he would feel if a gay man, or gay men, did this to him in the street. Would he take it as a compliment. "Hey, dude, nice butt. Want a piece of this?" I'm thinking it wouldn't go over well.
