The racisim against Native Americans

https://www.dosomething.org/tipsandtools/racism-against-native-americans

"Discrimination against Native Americans is the longest held racism in the United States. It dates back to the arrival of the pilgrims and the subsequent invasion of the continent. In an effort to obtain much of North America as territory of the United States, a long series of wars and massacres forced displacements (including the well-known Trail of Tears), restriction of food rights, and the imposition of treaties. Ideologies justifying the context included stereotypes of Native Americans as "merciless Indian savages" and the quasi-religious doctrine of manifest destiny, which asserted divine blessing for U.S. conquest of all lands west of the Atlantic seaboard to the Pacific."

Where in the HELL is the Democratic Party on this?!!!!!!!!!

They like to put on a good show but truthfully, Dems don't care anymore about NAs than the GOP.

I agree.

Many of them were right here a few times this year screeching like Banshees over the name of a football team...

meanwhile, on many reservations, Native Americans were suffering from the effects of true racism. Alcoholism. Drug addiction. Poverty. Disease. Hopelessness.

So, yeah. All that screeching made for a pretty good show. But, in the end, not a damned thing improved, and wasn't likely to improve, even if the Washington Redskins changed their name to the Washington Furry Kittens.

Native Americans always vote 80 - 90 percent for Democrats. You would know the reasons why, and some other things as well:

...and grew up hearing racist jokes about "those Indians on the Rez scalping people", it's sickening.
