Beware of Pre-Election Agitprop Designed to Discourage Voting

With just a few short days until the election, the negative agitprop plant is in full bloom. If you're allergic to the pollen from this foul-smelling weed, avoid full exposure to it.

Wherever you go over the next couple of days, the stink of the Agitpropus Negativius will be everywhere, even on the Internet.

Pay no mind. The antidote is easy. Just GOTV like crazy!

GOTV 2014 and Beyond!

This response will suffice again:

Third Way argle blargle. I'm gonna get whiplash
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=5745196

from the Third Way telling us first that liberals are "fringe" and irrelevant, but then that we are so powerful that a critical post *on a political discussion board* is going to sink the election.

Corporatists really need to start having their talking point meetings all together in the same room.

The ONLY people I see deliberately trying to reduce turnout are the corporate faction of the party. In fact, I can't *ever* remember seeing such a sustained, relentless, and deliberate effort to discourage, demoralize, and outright attack the base of the party. It makes no sense whatsoever...until you realize that corporate politicians depend on divided government in order to be able to continue to claim to the electorate that they cannot stop predatory corporate policies.

I presume you have contacted the DCCC about this garbage?

I donate to individual candidates. Reverse psychology doesn't work on me, anyhow. I suppose it works for some people, and they must be getting donations, since they keep using that strategy. It's not what I'd do, though.

I don't donate to any national campaign organizations. Only to my own local candidates. I vote locally, and my activism is all local, as well. I discuss national politics here on DU, but don't count DU activities as activism at all.

"I would expect that from a Republican" doesn't exactly mean I'm calling someone a Republican. But hey go ahead and twist it all around till it fits your reality.

Since HE is a Republican, why don't they send this guide to just HIM and not "Household"? I rarely get any voters guide from the Democrats, but when they send something it is addressed just to ME and not the household. Maybe the Republicans just assume that if the husband is Republican, that the WIFE must be also? Gender discrimination too?

Anyway, their lost, and my advantage.

Please excuse me I thought we were talking about something else. It's been a rough day and I hope you forgive me. I understand now.

In my particular family I'm completely surrounded by them, they even invade my FB page but what do you do with old friends?

I come here to get away from it all and this morning just got drawn into the most ridiculous thread that ended up getting me kicked out of my own thread. It's really unfortunate to come here and be told to sit down and shut up. One day I'm supposed to have thicker skin and the next day I'm talking to someone who's is butterfly wing thin. The whole gang is here in the thread and I misread your post.

It was a knee jerk reaction on my part and I completely apologize, you didn't deserve that.

I hope we can still be friends.

I think I need a nap.
