3. What's the point of this cartoon?

Rall should attack the people who started the war, not the men and women who had to go over there.

he's drawing the parallels to Vietnam

You replace Iraq with Vietnam in that cartoon and it's a scene that has happened probably tens of thousands of times across this country.

Rall is not the kind of guy to support waterboarding, claim there were WMD to be found (see the 2 t shirts), or think that politicians tied their hands. Rall doesn't like the kind of people he's depicted there.

10. I agree. This cartoon makes me uncomfortable, like a lot of Rall's lately.

Between his racist depictions of Obama and now this.....just don't like it. The cartoon makes a point, but the target is wrong.

There are plenty of ex-military police officers wielding batons and pepper spray. There are plenty of reactionary vets who are sad they missed out on more mayhem and bloodshed.

Ted is spot on, and if you hang around another 20 years, you will be able to go to any VFW hall and see for yourself what he has penned.

13. It shows that Rall hasn't learned anything since then

he assumed something about Tillman, put that assumption in his cartoon and it turns out that he was totally wrong.

He's doing the same thing, he's still got the same prejudice against soldiers.

bothered by the implication that every veteran of Vietnam, and by extension, Iraq, is a slave to that same mindset.
