By attempting to shut down local businesses. Seems like a good way to raise unemployment and drive out business from your community. I sure as hell wouldn't be opening a business there if this is what passes as effective pretesting.

Seems like shooting yourself in the foot to me.

Walmart is despicable to be sure for a lot of reasons but they had nothing at all to do with the shooting, it's like kicking your dog cause your cat peed on the bed. Has zero effect on the cat and makes the dog think you're an asshole.

Walmart had fuck all to do with that shooting and you know it. Could have happened anywhere.

Could have happened anywhere, and that is the issue, not walmart. Disrupting business makes the protesters look like criminals instead of people standing up for justice and undercuts the message entirely.

wagon and remember that the goddamned cops, who are the target of protesters, murdered John Crawford at a Walmart in Ohio and THAT is why the protesters are going to Walmarts - to draw attention to the injustice of the murder of JOHN CRAWFORD.

Everyone is caught up with it being a WalMart. If it was a Costco or a Home Depot, would anything be different? What's wrong with law enforcement protecting a local business from being vandalized and looted? If there are employees there, they're at risk also.

Have the cops beaten down anyone standing outside the WalMart? That QuikTrip that was burned down a month ago probably had to lay off a bunch of people. QuikTrip pays it's people well also, way above minimum wage (nearly $15 / hour here in Atlanta).

The protesters during the day , the little children , the mothers all holding signs
resonates to the rest of the country when those images are shown.

The media puts a video on the news of a flash mob trying to disrupt a business
late at night accomplishes nothing for this cause.

stores b/c local protests shut them down, that puts a dent in WM's sales figures and directly affects WM's bottom line. (Sure, Ferguson and St. Louis are small potatoes, but they might be just the beginning.) So if WM's shareholders start taking a hit to their bottom line, you don't think there will be some suggestions made on the golf courses and in the board rooms to make this 'go away' ASAP by having that putz McCulloch recuse himself and Wilson arrested?

If not, then you and I have a fundamentally irreconcilable vision of how power works in this country.
