Glad you're here! Very scary stuff starting to happen with this story. Seems to me the best overall strategy would be - keeping one's head, and not panicking. Being observant and level-headed may be our best bet. And learning as much as you can - knowledge is power and a good antidote for irrationality and hysterics.

Here, too, I keep finding my way back to Mad-Eye Moody in the Harry Potter books. He was a battle-scarred veteran of many wizarding wars, and he warned Harry Potter as often as he could: "CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!!!!!"

One other thing he often said that has merit here, too: "You've GOT to KNOW!"

8. agree! quarantines are not being implemented with

a large enough net. close off the state for 3 weeks...no ins and no outs. same for all of west africa and anywhere infection shows up. yes, it will cost but not the $$ & crisis continued infection will cost all of us.

before boarding planes out of africa?

one must be aggressive with contagions and it is appalling the level of "slow" at the cdc & w.h.o & others who have the power to enact quarantine sanctions and are refusing to do so. failure to stop the contagion from spreading from the source is negligent, irresponsible and endangering the world. for example? one does not only check temperatures at the airport upon entering a country - temperatures are also checked and histories taken when LEAVING the country of travel origin prior to boarding the plane.

slowly it turns......this world is facing a catastrophe because of this virus that came from who knows what or who...just seems something is not quite right as to how this is slowly spreading to different countries. No CT just watching the slow spread of this disease.

and incompetance at decision making levels. it comes from people running a medical "business" for whom "medicine" and medical care is a corporate interest and decision.

Resolve not to become infected!!! But then again, that applies even when there isn't any threat from Ebola or even ISIS or anything else (or even gays marrying whomever they choose!).

Although to be serious, headache is a symptom of Ebola.
In the beginning, Ebola is similar to a lot of other diseases.
