What local races are you watching.

The east side of San Francisco is the battleground for two Democratic candidates for the State Assembly (in CA, the top two primary vote getters face off regardless of party). Identity politics is alive and well as Board of Supervisors President David Chiu focuses on Chinatown and South-of-Mason neighborhoods and David Campos works the Mission Excelsior. Rumors abound of a too-close-to-call race but I think Chiu ultimately has the upper hand. What local or neighborhood races are you focusing on?

We don't have a Democratic Candidate for Mayor - its totally TEA vs a Republican voting for Booker. I'm with the Republican whi is more like Manchin. I'm also supporting a Libertarian and Indie for the Council. Next year I might run for Business Improvement Council.

I'm also actively helping out for the NJ 7th and Senate.

My yard signs indicate I have multiple personality disorder!

Roy Cho has a feel shot to displace Scott Garrett, incumbent and rabid right-winger.

Garret was the ONLY rep from NJ to vote AGAINST aid to rebuild from Superstorm Sandy.

David Perdue (R) and Michelle Nunn (D) for Congress plus Jason Carter (D) and Nathan Deal (R) for governor. They are both running neck in neck according to local polls.

40,000+ voter forms have gone missing, apparently, as per Rachel on MSNBC.....hmm.....a little suspicious, don't you think?

But boy, oh boy, if it doesn't look like she has a chance! Abbott's been hurting pretty bad these past couple of weeks; hopefully enough middle of the road folks might see thru his bullshitting routine to counteract the unthinking party loyalists and true believers on the GOP side of things.

It's a new district comprising parts of Monroe and Northampton Counties. Republican Mario Scavello (ultrasound probe bill sponsor) versus Democrat Marc Aurand, who is pro choice.

Mayor KJ has had three priorities:

-giving his former employer, the NBA, the gift of a downtown arena (check)

-gentrifying the neighborhood where he, coincidentally I'm sure, owns a lot of property (check)

-getting himself more power at the expense of the city council, which is what measure L is for

He's tried repeatedly to push strong mayor through, so far no luck. Can't see it happening this time either.
