Is The Florida Gov. Race Slipping Away From Rick Scott?

Three recent polls have suggested that the Florida gubernatorial race seems to be moving away from Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) and toward former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (D).

The most recent poll, from the University of North Florida, shows Crist leading Scott 43 percent to 38 percent with Libertarian candidate Adrian Wyllie getting 10 percent among likely voters. That poll follows a Survey USA poll that showed Crist ahead of Scott 44 percent to 42 percent with Wyllie at 6 percent among likely voters. And that poll came after another Survey USA poll also showed Crist leading the race 46 percent to 40 percent with Wyllie getting 8 percent support.

Those three polls are a shift from earlier four polls — two from Survey USA, one from Quinnipiac University and one from the Florida Chamber of Commerce — showing Scott leading Crist.

It's also a shift from mid September when the TPM Polltracker average showed Scott leading Crist. Currently the TPM Polltracker average gives Crist a 3.5 point lead over Scott.

they are reality challenged but they keep repeating them. For example, Scott has florida children scoring second best in the world, but Crist kept a poor girl from going to college.

i am somewhat prone to wishful thinking, but to me, something is in the air.

Any race where the leader has less than 45% is going to be a close race down to the wire. This will be neck and neck up to the end, and imagining that it's "slipping away" is an extremely dangerous frame of mind.

Polls in Florida are very funky especially when both are under 45%.

Neither candidate is really that exciting to voters is what this is telling me.

Chain Gang Charlie vs Skeletor.

because they think mean bastards won't make their taxes go up.

Unfortunately, they seem incapable of paying the close attention that would tell them that when one tax goes down 10%, the rest of them go up 20%.

It was on a Spanish channel and the translator talked over them so you couldn't understand a word, unless you spoke Spanish

The Tampa Newspaper said Scott answered every question with 'Crist lost nearly a million jobs and raised College tuition"

There was a big lawsuit filed against Scott today

Its likely to fire up his base.

Cantor was defeated only because he was going to win it by a landslide. His base stayed home and tea party as well as dems showed up to get him booted.

Medical cannabis is also on the ballot. The sponsor of the bill who has put in millions of his own cash is an attorney who also hired Crist. Cannabis is getting the vote out and while they're there, voters get to also ditch the pRick as governor.

I don't watch Spanish stations so I don't know what campaign ads are being shown. I can say there are a lot of ads on TV targeting the women's vote by both, but Crist even more so.
